The buildings and property of Community in Christ consist of a sanctuary that seats a little over 200, a fellowship hall that will seat about 100 around tables, and a prayer chapel (as yet unfinished) all sitting on about 5 acres. These buildings are available for rent or use most of the year for various groups. With the sanctuary and fellowship hall the facilities make for a good event center to the community. Currently an Irish dance school, a dance group, and a music teachers’ association use our buildings. The music teachers hold their meetings and recitals here. For people or groups willing to follow our building use rules (no alcohol for example) our facilities are open to rent to the public. Some of the ways that groups of people have used our buildings are for weddings and receptions, family reunions, community groups, large birthday parties or receptions, etc. Being located adjacent to the Pioneer Baseball Fields, it would be easy for after game team meetings or parties too. Rent costs are discussed with Pastor Gary or another church representative. Pastor Gary is available for weddings as well if contacted well in advance. The buildings are available to regular members for use at no cost. Our sanctuary and entrance were additions built in 1999. The fellowship hall, which has 4 classrooms and a dining/general use area, is the original building. Attached to our sanctuary is a 75-foot tall steeple with a cross on top. Inside the steeple are two cell phone antenna arrays and our church bell. We ring the bell at the beginning of our worship services and the bell is available for use at non-church functions if requested. The steeple makes an for easy reference to people looking for the buildings. Currently the sanctuary is not available for use on Sundays before noon, or Wednesdays after 5 PM. The fellowship hall is not available those same days or Monday or Tuesday before 5:00 PM. For more information or to schedule an event call 303-421-6732.
